Founded in 1966, Meres International School is the only private Asturian centre accredited as an official international school by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization), one of the first in Spain to achieve this.

Academic Excellence
Average of 11.74 in the EBAU 2024, with 23.67% of students scoring 13 or higher, including the highest mark in Asturias (14). In languages, we surpassed the regional average in English and French by 1.73 points.

Compartimos los resultados obtenidos por nuestro alumnado en las certificaciones oficiales de Cambridge Assessment English, unos datos que reflejan el trabajo, la constancia y la importancia que tiene el aprendizaje de idiomas en nuestro proyecto educativo.
El 100% de nuestros alumnos se presenta a certificaciones oficiales de idiomas, alcanzando resultados muy destacados:
98% obtiene el B1, 82% el B2, 70% el C1 y 87% el C2.
Además, en 2º de Bachillerato, el 70% del alumnado finaliza con niveles C1 y C2.

We are delighted to share the results achieved by our students in the official Cambridge Assessment English certifications, reflecting their hard work, perseverance and the importance of language learning within our educational project.
100% of our students take official language certification exams, achieving outstanding results:

Compartimos los resultados obtenidos por nuestro alumnado en el Programa del Diploma del Bachillerato Internacional, dentro del Bachillerato de Excelencia Meres, donde el 100% de los alumnos se presenta tanto a la PAU como al Bachillerato Internacional.
Estos resultados reflejan su esfuerzo, compromiso y constancia a lo largo de una etapa académica exigente.
El 85% de nuestros alumnos ha obtenido el Diploma del Bachillerato Internacional, con una nota media de 30 puntos y una nota máxima de 36 puntos.
Más allá de las cifras, estos resultados hablan de una promoción comprometida, del acompañamiento de sus profesores y del apoyo de sus familias durante todo el camino.

We are delighted to share the results achieved by our students in the IB Diploma Programme, as part of the Bachillerato de Excelencia Meres, where 100% of students sit both the PAU and the International Baccalaureate.

PAU 2026: resultados que nos llenan de orgullo.
Compartimos los resultados obtenidos por nuestro alumnado en la PAU 2026, unos datos que reflejan esfuerzo, constancia y mucho trabajo detrás.
El 58,7% de nuestros alumnos ha obtenido 12 o más puntos sobre 14, y el 31,7% ha superado los 13 puntos. Además, Adriana Santoro ha alcanzado la máxima calificación, con un 14/14.

PAU 2026: results that fill us with pride.
We are delighted to share the results achieved by our students in the PAU 2026, figures that reflect effort, perseverance and a great deal of hard work.
58.7% of our students scored 12 or more out of 14, and 31.7% achieved more than 13 points. In addition, Adriana Santoro obtained the highest possible score: 14/14.

6º de Primaria se merecía una despedida así.
Toledo, Parque Warner, Puy du Fou, visitas culturales, espectáculos, piscina, muchas risas y varios momentos de esos que seguro van a seguir comentando durante tiempo.
Más que una excursión, ha sido una forma preciosa de cerrar una etapa: juntos, fuera del aula y con la mochila llena de recuerdos.
Y viendo las caras, parece que lo han aprovechado bastante bien.

Year 6 deserved a farewell like this.
Toledo, Parque Warner, Puy du Fou, cultural visits, shows, swimming pool, lots of laughter and plenty of moments they’ll probably keep talking about for a long time.
More than just a school trip, it was a beautiful way to close a chapter: together, outside the classroom, and with their backpacks full of memories.
And judging by their faces, they made the most of it.

Nuestros alumnos disfrutaron de una jornada de paddle surf en Luanco, compartiendo una experiencia divertida, diferente y muy refrescante junto a sus compañeros.
Una actividad perfecta para trabajar la confianza, el equilibrio, la coordinación y el compañerismo… aunque, visto lo visto, también para practicar algún que otro chapuzón. 😄

El Camino también se aprende caminando. 💛
Nuestros alumnos de 4º de ESO han vivido estos días una experiencia muy especial realizando el Camino de Santiago: kilómetros compartidos, conversaciones, cansancio, risas, apoyo entre compañeros y esa sensación tan bonita de llegar juntos.
De Portomarín a Palas de Rei, y hasta Santiago, cada etapa ha sido una oportunidad para convivir, conocerse un poco más y descubrir que muchas veces el camino importa tanto como la meta.
Una actividad que deja recuerdos, aprendizajes y grupo. Y, sobre todo, muchas historias que seguro seguirán contando durante mucho tiempo.

The Camino is also learned by walking. 💛
Our 4th year Secondary students have enjoyed a very special experience on the Camino de Santiago: shared kilometres, conversations, tired legs, laughter, teamwork and the wonderful feeling of reaching the destination together.
From Portomarín to Palas de Rei, and all the way to Santiago, each stage was an opportunity to spend time together, get to know each other better and discover that sometimes the journey matters just as much as the destination.
An activity full of memories, learning and team spirit. And, above all, many stories they will keep telling for a long time.

Un pasito más hacia Primaria. 💛
Los alumnos de 3º de Educación Infantil han realizado una visita muy especial para conocer cómo será su próxima etapa en 1º de Educación Primaria. Recorrieron los espacios que utilizarán el próximo curso, descubrieron dónde se bajarán del autobús, cómo llegarán a su nueva clase y visitaron las aulas de Plástica, Música y Educación Física.
Además, las profesoras de 1º les explicaron, de una forma cercana y sencilla, cómo será su día a día en Primaria, resolviendo dudas y ayudándoles a mirar esta nueva etapa con ilusión.
Una actividad pensada para acompañarles en esta transición con calma, seguridad y confianza antes de disfrutar de las vacaciones de verano. 🌿

One step closer to Primary. 💛
Our 3rd-year Early Years students enjoyed a very special visit to discover what their next stage in Year 1 Primary will be like. They explored the spaces they will use next school year, found out where they will get off the bus, how to get to their new classroom, and visited the Art, Music and Physical Education rooms.
The Year 1 teachers also explained, in a warm and simple way, what their daily life in Primary will be like, answering their questions and helping them look ahead to this new stage with excitement.
An activity designed to support them through this transition with calm, confidence and security before they enjoy their summer holidays. 🌿
