Founded in 1966, Meres International School is the only private Asturian centre accredited as an official international school by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization), one of the first in Spain to achieve this.

Academic Excellence
Average of 11.74 in the EBAU 2024, with 23.67% of students scoring 13 or higher, including the highest mark in Asturias (14). In languages, we surpassed the regional average in English and French by 1.73 points.

Nuestro alumno Álvaro Rodiz ha sido reconocido como uno de los mejores oradores en el torneo de debate del Colegio Europeo de Madrid (CEM). Un reconocimiento que refleja preparación, claridad al comunicar y mucha valentía para defender ideas con respeto.

324 alumnos y 43 centros participaron en la Olimpiada de Economía de Asturias.
Nos hace especial ilusión compartir que la ganadora es alumna de Meres, y que también contamos con una tercera posición. Además, cuatro alumnas del colegio se sitúan entre los primeros puestos y todos nuestros alumnos presentados han quedado entre los 27 primeros clasificados.
La 1.ª y la 3.ª clasificadas, Claudia y Elena, participarán en la XVII Olimpiada Nacional de Economía, que se celebrará del 17 al 19 de junio en el Campus de Aranjuez de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
Enhorabuena a nuestras alumnas y, por supuesto, a Irene, su profesora, por acompañarlas en este gran logro.
En el marco de la unidad de indagación “Cómo funciona el mundo”, nuestros alumnos han vivido una experiencia llena de curiosidad y descubrimiento.
Recibimos a nuestro Director, Luis Carlos Jiménez Gámez, quien les acercó al apasionante reto de una misión a Marte: cómo se prepara, qué desafíos implica y qué hace posible que algo así pueda llegar a suceder.
Una charla adaptada a su mirada, que despertó preguntas, imaginación y muchas ganas de seguir explorando cómo funciona el mundo… y más allá.
Ayer celebramos el Día del Libro en el cole y terminamos con una de esas historias que nunca pasan de moda: la de Sant Jordi. 📚🐉🌹
En Infantil lo vivimos a lo grande: cuentos, colores, dragones y mucha imaginación. Porque cuando un libro se abre… pueden pasar cosas muy mágicas.

Y para contarlo como se merece, hemos preguntado a nuestro alumnado de 1º, 3º y 4º de ESO y a Beatriz, profesora de Lengua: qué significa para ellos, cómo se vive por dentro, qué es lo más difícil… y algún que otro truco para empezar a escribir.
El gran momento será el jueves 23 de abril, Día del Libro, cuando los finalistas leerán sus relatos en público.

This week we are celebrating the 40th edition of our school Short Story Contest, promoted by the Parents’ Association (APA).
To mark the occasion, we asked students from 1st, 3rd and 4th year of Secondary (ESO) and Beatriz, our Spanish Language teacher, what the contest means to them, how the process feels from the inside, what’s most challenging… and even a few tips for getting started.
The big moment will be on Thursday, 23rd April, World Book Day, when the finalists will read their stories aloud.
We can’t wait to listen to them and celebrate 40 years of shared stories!
